Have power, will travel.

It's easy to think of power stations as truly large portable battery packs, but they offer more than a way to charge your phone or smartwatch. Portable power stations battery can light a room by powering lights or, in some cases, keep a mini fridge running during a power outage. Of course, this is an extreme example, but it's a real one if you live in an area where storms regularly threaten power outages.

Power stations are also handy when you're camping on long weekends to power lights and other gadgets. Or maybe you have a ba

ckyard movie setup with a projector and speakers -- a powerhouse that helps you run. The point is, the power station's capabilities can meet your needs.

Not all power stations are created equal. For example, some workstations are capable of powering a microwave oven, while others meet the power requirements of a desktop gaming computer. When buying a power station, there are some important aspects to keep in mind.

Consider the purpose for which you plan to use the plant to determine the ideal capacity and physical dimensions of the plant. These stations are full of batteries to keep your devices powered, and the batteries are heavy. For example, when it comes to buying things you want to camp out, it makes sense to take a lighter approach. However, if you want to use something at home as a backup power source, size and weight may not be so important.

It is important to check the watt output of the equipment you need to power and compare it to the rating of the power station. Usually the factory will list two different outputs: standard output and peak output. Standard output is built for long runs, while peak output is the output it can handle for short periods of time - like when you first power up the device, it consumes more power.
